Agência Minas Gerais | Estado inaugura obra em Taiobeiras que garante água de qualidade para comunidades do Norte de Minas
O acesso à água potável de qualidade tornou-se realidade para moradores das comunidades do município de Taiobeiras, no Norte de Minas.
O Governo de Minas inaugurou na localidade um poço tubular profundo para captação de água potável. A solenidade foi em 15/12.
Um total de 46 famílias serão beneficiadas na região nas comunidades de Umbuzeiro (3), Covão (28) e Novato (15).
A obra é resultado de um edital de chamamento público de 2020, da Secretaria de Estado de Meio Ambiente e Desenvolvimento Sustentável (Semad), para construção de poços tubulares profundos. Nesse edital foram selecionados 44 municípios aptos a receberem a perfuração.
Com o trabalho coordenado pela Semad, por meio da Subsecretaria de Saneamento, cada prefeito pôde solicitar cinco poços para serem construídos no município.
O município de Taiobeiras foi contemplado com a perfuração de cinco poços tubulares profundos, sendo que três estão aptos a utilização nas respectivas comunidades, beneficiando diretamente cerca de 46 famílias e um centro de reabilitação com 15 internos.
“As obras significam uma mudança na qualidade de vida dessas pessoas. Ao fazer esse trabalho, o Governo de Minas está atendendo a uma demanda antiga dessas regiões e mudando a realidade delas, com impactos socioeconômicos, na saúde e no meio ambiente”, comenta o subsecretário de Saneamento, Anderson do Carmo Diniz.
Segundo ele, a medida estabeleceu critérios técnicos para a escolha das áreas selecionadas no edital. “O objetivo é atender as regiões que precisam, por ordem de prioridade, e dentro da necessidade hídrica local”, afirma.
De acordo com o superintendente de Água, Esgoto e Drenagem Pluvial da Semad, Kleynner Lopes, a água de qualidade era uma demanda antiga dos moradores que sofriam com um déficit no saneamento.
“Muitos nos relataram buscar água em locais distantes. Essa entrega muda esse cenário e reforça o compromisso das administrações pública estadual e municipal com a vida desses moradores”, disse.
Para o prefeito de Taiobeiras, Denerval Germano da Cruz, a água é um bem desejado que faz falta nas comunidades rurais na região Norte de Minas. “A abertura de poços, a canalização e a água chegando na casa das pessoas é um bem maior e agradecemos o apoio da Secretaria de Estado de Meio Ambiente”, afirmou.
A presidente da Associação dos Produtores Rurais da Comunidade de Covão, Maria Camilo de Souza, observou que o poço é muito bem-vindo. “As famílias serão bem atendidas e estamos felizes com a fartura de água para as comunidades”, afirmou.
