Prefeitura divulga membros do Conselho de Igualdade Racial

A Prefeitura de São José dos Campos divulgou o resultado da eleição do Conselho Municipal de Promoção da Igualdade Racial (Compir) para o mandato de 2024-2026. A eleição aconteceu na última sexta-feira (5) no Centro de Referência Afro-Brasileira, que fica no Monte Castelo.
Os eleitores votaram em 9 representantes da sociedade civil, sendo um de cada segmento: Movimento de Mulheres, Movimento Negro, Capoeira, Cultura Urbana, Entidade Religiosa, Matriz Africana, Samba, População Indígena e Instituição de Ensino Superior.
Já o representante da Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil será indicado pelo órgão, conforme previsto na legislação.
O resultado está disponível no boletim do município nº 3.203 de 9 de abril de 2024.
Posse
Para a disputa, 22 pessoas estavam inscritas. Após a conclusão da votação, a Comissão Eleitoral iniciou a apuração.
Os 10 Conselheiros eleitos tomarão posse no dia 17 de maio no Paço Municipal, conforme programação prevista no edital.
O Conselho
O Conselho Municipal de Promoção da Igualdade Racial tem como finalidade propor, em âmbito municipal, políticas de promoção da igualdade racial com ênfase na população negra, povos indígenas, e outros segmentos étnicos.
O Compir é um órgão permanente e consultivo, de representatividade da igualdade racial e está vinculado à Secretaria de Apoio Social ao Cidadão, por meio da Assessoria de Políticas Públicas para Igualdade Racial.
O Conselho é formado paritariamente por 20 membros titulares, sendo 10 representantes da Sociedade Civil e 10 do poder público municipal, sendo os representantes da Sociedade Civil eleitos e os representantes do poder público municipal indicado pelo chefe do poder executivo municipal.
