Prefeitura de Sorocaba dá início à revitalização da Praça da Bandeira – Noticias

A Prefeitura de Sorocaba deu início, na manhã desta quarta-feira (31), à revitalização da Praça da Bandeira, localizada na Avenida Dr. Afonso Vergueiro, no Centro da cidade, como parte das ações do Programa “Sorocaba Linda de Verdade”. O local, que já recebeu iluminação com tecnologia em LED no fim do ano de 2023, agora terá novo calçamento e paisagismo.
As melhorias têm como objetivo proporcionar mais oportunidades de convívio em uma área harmoniosa, atrativa e segura, promovendo qualidade de vida aos munícipes.
As obras estão a cargo da MGT Bolina, por meio de doação, com prazo de execução de até 90 dias. A empresa é responsável pela revitalização de 855 metros quadrados de calçada. Já o paisagismo, em uma área de 1.100 metros quadrados, será executado pela própria Secretaria de Serviços Públicos e Obras (Serpo), que implantará um jardim com gramado e plantas arbustivas.
Uma equipe da Prefeitura de Sorocaba acompanhou o início das obras no local. “O nosso objetivo é tornar esse espaço mais acolhedor aos munícipes que trafegam por essa região, que poderão usufruir de um local agradável para o convívio com a família e os amigos, no Centro de Sorocaba”, destacou o prefeito Rodrigo Manga.
Além do chefe do Executivo sorocabano, estiveram presentes os secretários Darwin de Almeida Rosa (Serviços Públicos e Obras), Carlos Eduardo Paschoini (Mobilidade) e João Alberto Corrêa Maia (Gabinete Central), além do ouvidor-geral do Município, Evandro Bueno, e o diretor da MGT Bolina, Marcel Bolina.
