Nova Iguaçu intensifica ações de prevenção e combate à dengue
A Secretaria Municipal de Saúde de Nova Iguaçu (SEMUS) apresentou, nesta terça-feira (9), seu plano de contingência para o enfrentamento de arboviroses, como dengue, zika e chikungunya, doenças transmitidas pelo mosquito Aedes Aegypti. Um dos grandes objetivos deste encontro foi o de convocar profissionais de diversas áreas de atuação da Prefeitura para apresentar ações conjuntas de prevenção em locais como escolas, locais urbanos e rurais que possam servir para a proliferação de casos. O evento aconteceu no auditório da Cruz Vermelha, no Centro.
A chegada do verão, época marcada por altas temperaturas e grande volume de chuvas, se torna um ambiente favorável para o desenvolvimento do Aedes Aegypti. A cidade de Nova Iguaçu vem se preparando para a possibilidade de surgimento de novos casos, principalmente da dengue. Tanto as unidades quanto os profissionais de saúde do município estão sendo orientados sobre os cuidados a serem tomados com os pacientes. Aqueles que apresentam sintomas leves da doença serão cuidados em clínicas da família ou unidades básicas de saúde, que pertencem ao serviço de Atenção Primária. Casos mais graves serão encaminhados para o Hospital Geral de Nova Iguaçu (HGNI).
Outras medidas de enfrentamento às arboviroses estão sendo realizadas pela Superintendência de Vigilância Ambiental (SUVAM), que pertence à SEMUS. Agentes de Combate às Endemias são responsáveis pela aplicação de inseticidas em áreas propícias ao desenvolvimento do Aedes Aegypti. O carro fumacê também está sendo utilizado em bairros com maior incidência de casos de dengue confirmados. Os agentes também estão entregando materiais informativos à população, fazendo visitas e reforçando as orientações sobre como evitar a proliferação do mosquito, seguindo o protocolo “10 minutos contra a dengue”.
“Este é um momento de cuidado. Nós estamos nos organizando no controle à dengue dentro do atual cenário regional. Nós sabemos que já foram detectados dois tipos de dengue circulando na cidade com o risco de reintrodução de mais um. São cerca de quatro milhões de indivíduos no estado suscetíveis para contrair a dengue tipo três e isso se intensifica durante o verão. Cabe a nós providenciar as medidas de prevenção e implementá-las no município”, afirma o subsecretário de Vigilância e Saúde, Clodoaldo Novaes.
A cidade de Nova Iguaçu registrou 2.204 notificações com 500 casos confirmados em 2023. Na próxima semana, profissionais da saúde participarão de novos treinamentos sobre os cuidados a serem tomados com pacientes diagnosticados com arboviroses.
