2ª Conferência de Educação Antirracista é realizada em Guaratinguetá – Prefeitura Estância Turística Guaratinguetá
Foi realizada na última segunda-feira (18), a 2ª Conferência de Educação Antirracista de Guaratinguetá no Espaço Multiuso, com o tema: “Educacao Antirracista para todos”.
A ação faz parte da Lei Municipal nº 5338/22, que cria o Programa Municipal Permanente de Enfrentamento ao Racismo e determina a organização de uma Conferência Municipal, onde as escolas possam apresentar seus trabalhos e resultados em torno do projeto que desenvolveram ao longo do ano. O município de Guaratinguetá segue avançando no desenvolvimento de uma estratégia articulada em torno de uma lei específica de combate ao racismo, por meio da educação antirracista.
Estiveram presentes representantes do poder Executivo, Legislativo, Conselhos Municipais, representantes do Coletivo Baobá, educadores e gestores das escolas municipais, membros da Secretaria Municipal de Educação, além da sociedade civil.
O evento contou com palestras, roda de conversa e apresentação de boas práticas. A realização da conferência é fundamental para ampliar a discussão sobre o tema racismo na sociedade, com o objetivo de conscientizar e criar ações de enfrentamento ao preconceito racial.
Além de debates, aconteceram apresentações de danças de temática afro brasileira feita por alunos das escolas municipais Dr. Guilherme e Elvira Giannico, e uma apresentação musical com o professor Celso Silva.
