Jovens com síndrome de Down se formam em curso de informática do Espaço da Juventude de Madureira – Prefeitura da Cidade do Rio de Janeiro
Quinze jovens com síndrome de Down concluíram, na sexta-feira passada (15/12), o primeiro curso de Informática Básica oferecido pelo Espaço da Juventude de Madureira. O grupo faz parte do projeto Tô Navegando, que oferece oportunidade de estudo em tecnologia dentro do Espaço da Juventude, um contêiner de 40 m² instalado pela Secretaria Especial da Juventude Carioca (JUVRio) em Madureira e em mais quatro bairros: Estácio, Cidade de Deus, Vargem Pequena e Vigário Geral. Na formatura, os jovens receberam o certificado após completarem um mês de aulas e apresentarem o trabalho de conclusão de curso.
Carla Cristina Fernandes Souza, de 21 anos, ficou contente com a oportunidade. Ela disse que o Espaço da Juventude é um ambiente único no bairro de Madureira.
– Eu gostei bastante e estou amando o Espaço da Juventude. No curso, eu aprendi a usar o computador, a mexer no mouse, teclado e fazer textos e planilhas. Vai me ajudar bastante na minha vida, eu sempre quis fazer esse curso – disse a jovem, que mora em Del Castilho.
Além de inserir jovens no mundo da tecnologia, o curso de Informática Básica promove o ensino das ferramentas necessárias para acessar o mercado de trabalho formal: sistema operacional, internet e programas de edição de texto, planilhas e apresentações. Também concluíram o curso jovens das turmas regulares do Espaço da Juventude de Madureira. Ludmila, de 17 anos, é aluna frequente do local. Antes de se formar em Informática, ela fez o curso de Mídias Sociais e vai iniciar Robótica, em 2024.
– Minha mãe sempre me inscreve, eu gosto porque são cursos bons para o currículo e ajudam a conseguir emprego. Os tutores do Espaço são capacitados e explicam muito bem. Aqui é próximo da minha casa e é confortável, um local para se sentir bem. Todo mundo se ajuda no final – disse a aluna.
