Semana do Meio Ambiente terá City Tour especial das árvores

Para começar as comemorações da Semana do Meio Ambiente, o programa City Tour preparou um roteiro diferente com visitas guiadas a árvores consideradas símbolos de São José dos Campos. A cidade é considerada umas três cidades mais arborizadas do Brasil.
O passeio gratuito está programado para o dia 1 de junho, das 8h30 às 13h. A visita terá o acompanhamento de guias especializados e educadores ambientais.
O início será no Parque da Cidade Roberto Burle Marx, com visita à Árvore da Chuva. Localizado no perímetro do parque, a árvore é considerada a maior de sua espécie no Brasil.
Também estão no roteiro o Jequitibá Rosa, no distrito de Eugênio de Melo, e espécies localizadas na Praça Synesio Martins, no Jardim Esplanada, entre outras.
Turistas e moradores vão aprender mais sobre o contexto histórico das espécies, ações e cuidados, além lendas e curiosidades sobre as árvores.
Também será apresentado o programa de cadastro arbóreo, que já catalogou mais de 40 mil árvores no município.
Cada árvore recebe uma placa de identificação com numeração específica e informações em QR Code, que pode ser lido por dispositivos móveis, como celulares e tablets com acesso à internet.
O Dia do Meio Ambiente é celebrado em 5 de junho e terá programação especial da Prefeitura, a ser divulgada.
Inscrições
Os passeios são gratuitos e as inscrições podem ser feitas até 12h do dia 29 de maio, véspera do feriado de Corpus Christi, pela Central 156 (telefone, site e aplicativo) ou pelo e-mail [email protected].
Serão oferecidas 44 vagas, preenchidas por ordem de acesso.
O deslocamento será feito em ônibus especial destinado ao programa City Tour.
