Com foco na saúde, ação nacional de cidadania vai atender cerca de 2,6 mil custodiados em Dourados
A PED (Penitenciária Estadual de Dourados), maior presídio de Mato Grosso do Sul, recebe entre os dias 13 e 17 de maio a Ação Nacional de Cidadania, que promoverá atendimentos de saúde, testagem e consultas para cerca de 2,6 mil custodiados e para os profissionais que atuam na unidade.
A atividade é organizada pela Senappen (Secretaria Nacional de Políticas Penais), vinculada ao Ministério da Justiça e Segurança Pública, e pela Fiocruz (Fundação Oswaldo Cruz), junto à Agepen (Agência Estadual de Administração do Sistema Penitenciário). As secretarias de Saúde estadual e municipal também são parceiras na realização da ação.
Durante a semana, serão oferecidos atendimentos de triagem de saúde, atendimentos médicos, realização de testes rápidos para detecção de HIV, sífilis e hepatites B e C, além da aplicação de vacinas de acordo com o calendário do Ministério da Saúde.
As pessoas com sintomas de tuberculose poderão realizar testes para diagnóstico da doença. No dia 14, às 10h, será realizada uma solenidade de divulgação da Ação de Cidadania, com a participação de diversas autoridades.
A iniciativa envolverá cerca de 40 profissionais da saúde e de apoio vinculados à Senappen, à Fiocruz e ao Ministério da Saúde. Além disso, profissionais da saúde do Estado e do Município de Dourados também auxiliarão nos atendimentos, contando ainda com o suporte de segurança dos policiais penais da Agepen.
Para o secretário Nacional de Políticas Penais, André de Albuquerque Garcia, essa ação é essencial para oferecer uma assistência à saúde de forma digna e humanizada.
“O acesso à saúde é um direito fundamental e deve ser garantido a todos. As condições do aprisionamento são extremamente desafiadoras, e por essa razão promover atendimentos de saúde e de prevenção de doenças são componentes essenciais nesse contexto. O apoio da Senappen aos estados, envolvendo a parceria com a Fiocruz e o Ministério da Saúde, demonstra a prioridade necessária que a política pública de saúde deve ser pautada”, declara.
A ação visa contemplar toda a comunidade carcerária da Penitenciária Estadual de Dourados, garantindo, assim, o direito das pessoas privadas de liberdade ao acesso à saúde. Segundo o diretor de Políticas Penitenciárias da Senappen, Sandro Abel Sousa Barradas, a oportunidade visa levar dignidade às pessoas presas por meio dos atendimentos de saúde.
“A saúde é um fator essencial para a reabilitação das pessoas em privação de liberdade. O acesso ao tratamento em momento adequado previne uma série de consequências individuais e coletivas. Por essa razão, a política de saúde no sistema prisional foca na prevenção de doenças e na promoção de saúde. A integração entre Governo Federal, Estados e Municípios é a chave fundamental para a melhoria dos serviços de saúde voltados às pessoas presas, seus familiares e servidores penitenciários”, explica.
Sobre as Ações de Cidadania
As ações de cidadania são realizadas pela Senappen desde 2017 para a promoção da saúde, do bem-estar e da qualidade de vida dos servidores penitenciários e das pessoas presas, que integram a comunidade carcerária, nas cinco regiões do Brasil.
A ação em Mato Grosso do Sul está sendo realizada no âmbito do Projeto Valoriza: Saúde em Foco, uma iniciativa da Senappen, por meio da Coordenação Nacional de Saúde da Diretoria de Políticas Penais (DIRPP), com apoio da Fiocruz.
Pela Agepen, os trabalhos serão coordenados pela Diretoria de Assistência Penitenciária, com suporte da direção e equipe da PED.
