Funjope amplia participação de grupos de Maracatus no Carnaval Tradição e Folia de Rua
A Fundação Cultural de João Pessoa (Funjope) se reuniu com representantes dos Maracatus e da Liga das Escolas de Samba em João Pessoa com o objetivo de discutir a ampliação da participação dos Maracatus na programação do Carnaval Tradição e no Folia de Rua 2024.
“A Funjope tem feito um trabalho intenso, que a gente faz com dialogo entre as pessoas, com envolvimento e a inclusão de diversas culturas populares. Essa visibilidade, essa maior presença dos maracatus no nosso carnaval é fruto do movimento dos próprios maracatus, eles estão se organizando melhor e se capacitando melhor para participar do nosso carnaval”, afirmou Marcus Alves, diretor executivo da Funjope.
Na reunião desta segunda-feira (22), Marcus Alves ressaltou que a participação dos Maracatus no Carnaval 2024 está garantida desde o ano passado, lembrando que os grupos participaram, no último domingo (21), das prévias de carnaval na abertura dos shows da cantora Diana Miranda e da Banda Tuareg’s, na Casa da Pólvora, dentro do projeto Circulador Cultural.
Segundo ele, os Maracatus também participarão da abertura do ‘Folia de Rua’, no dia 01 de fevereiro, no show do cantor pernambucano Alceu Valença e sairão na Via Folia, sobretudo, durante as Muriçocas de Miramar, quando três maracatus irão participar, as Muriçoquinhas e outros grupos.
“Junto com a Liga das Escolas de Samba, tendo a frente o folclorista Pedro Cândido e Edson Pessoa, conseguimos incluir os Maracatus em cada noite do desfile das Escolas de Samba, das Tribos indígenas, Grupos de Orquestras de Frevo e Ala Ursas”.
Edson Pessoa, representante da Liga das Escolas de Samba falou sobre a reunião. “O presidente da Funjope dialogou com todos. A Funjope tá fazendo a programação com os Maracatus. No Carnaval Tradição os maracatus farão a abertura, serão três maracatus – um no sábado, domingo e na segunda-feira e outros na programação da Funjope, no Folia de Rua e nos Blocos. A Funjope fez um alinhamento e todos os grupos saíram satisfeitos”.
Para Maria Isabel, representante da Nação Pé de Elefante, a principal reivindicação dos grupos é a participação dos Maracatus durante todo o período de carnaval em João Pessoa, desde a abertura, prévias e do Carnaval Tradição. “Acredito que o ponto mais importante para discutir na reunião era a participação dos Maracatus no Carnaval Tradição. Conseguimos incluir quatro maracatus durante os três dias do evento. Além disso, também ficaram garantidas apresentações na abertura e prévias de Carnaval”.
A Nação Pé de Elefante fará o seu 5º desfile no carnaval. O grupo é pioneiro no movimento. O Maracastelo esta no seu 4º ano, o Baque Mulher e o Quilombo Nagô, estarão estreando na avenida.
Ângela Gaeta, representante do Maracastelo, falou sobre a reunião. “Estamos felizes com as conquistas do movimento de união dos Maracatus de João Pessoa e com a sensibilidade da Funjope a nossa pauta: a retomada do Maracatu paraibano!”.
“Agradeço aos Maracatus Tambores do Tempo, Quilombo Nagô, Baque de Raiz, Maracastelo, Maracatu Baque Mulher JP e Nação Pé de Elefante pelo entendimento de nossa proposta e vamos a um forte Carnaval 2024”, disse Marcus Alves.
