A Prefeitura de Sorocaba, por meio da Secretaria do Meio Ambiente, Proteção e Bem-Estar Animal (Sema), realizou, na manhã de terça-feira (12), o encontro gratuito do Clube Ecológico da Melhor Idade “Roda Viva”, no Parque da Biquinha. O tema tratado foi o Ciclo da Água, em comemoração ao Dia Mundial da Água e ao Dia do Rio Sorocaba, celebrados em 22 de março.
Criado há mais de 12 anos, o projeto de Educação Ambiental da Sema tem como objetivo oferecer um lazer educativo em contato com a natureza para a terceira idade, estimulando o cuidado com o meio ambiente, o bem-estar e a qualidade de vida dos participantes.
A programação teve início com uma roda de conversa sobre o ciclo hidrológico e, em seguida, foi colocada a música “Planeta Água”, de Guilherme Arantes, para eles ouvirem e relembrarem a canção da década de 80, e também analisar e discutir a letra. Para finalizar, o grupo caminhou por uma das trilhas do espaço ecológico até chegar à nascente principal, que dá nome ao parque. Lá, eles puderem entender ainda mais sobre o ciclo da água, na prática, observando todo o movimento da água no próprio Parque da Biquinha.
Os encontros do “Roda Viva” ocorrem, semanalmente, às terças-feiras, das 9h às 11h30, no Parque da Biquinha. A cada semana, a Sema prepara atividades variadas adequadas ao público-alvo, como oficinas de arte e artesanato, cultivo de canteiros e hortas, observação de aves, jogos cooperativos, atividades lúdicas, música, dança circular, entre outras.
