Nova presidência do Conif toma posse no dia 5 de março – IFSP
A solenidade da posse será presencial, e terá transmissão ao vivo pelo canal do Conif no Youtube
O professor e reitor do Instituto Federal Goiano (IF Goiano), Elias de Pádua Monteiro, tomará posse como presidente do Conselho Nacional das Instituições da Rede Federal de Educação Profissional, Científica e Tecnológica (Conif) na próxima terça-feira, dia 5 de março. A solenidade será presencial, em Brasília, e terá transmissão ao vivo pelo canal do Conif no YouTube.
O evento contará com a presença de Getúlio Marques Ferreira, secretário da Secretaria de Educação Profissional e Tecnológica do Ministério da Educação (MEC). Além disso, dirigentes da Rede Federal de Educação Profissional, Científica e Tecnológica, autoridades do Governo Federal e de embaixadas, parlamentares e outras pessoas ligadas à Educação devem participar da solenidade.
A chapa eleita para a gestão de 2024 é composta pelo reitor do Instituto Federal de Alagoas (Ifal), Carlos Guedes, que assumirá a vice-presidência de Relações Parlamentares; pelo reitor do Instituto Federal do Amazonas (Ifam), Jaime Alves, responsável pela vice-presidência de Administração; além dos reitores Rafael Almada, do Instituto Federal do Rio de Janeiro (IFRJ), e Júlio Heck, do Instituto Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS), que ocuparão as vice-presidências de Relações Institucionais e Assuntos Acadêmicos, respectivamente.
O reitor do Instituto Federal de São Paulo (IFSP), Silmário Batista dos Santos, em nome de toda a instituição, felicita a escolha democrática e reforça seu comprometimento com o Conselho e a Rede Federal.

Elias de Pádua Monteiro – possui 25 anos de experiencia em docência, doutorando em Ciência Animal pela Universidade Federal de Goiás (2014), mestrado em Extensão Rural pela Universidade Federal de Viçosa (2007) e graduação em Letras Modernas pela Faculdade de Filosofia do Vale de São Patrício (1991).
Carlos Guedes – mestre em Educação e graduado em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB), especialista em Gestão Pública pelo Instituto Federal do Paraná (IFPR) e graduado em Direito pelo Centro Universitário de Maceió (Cesmac). Há 25 anos atua como docente no Instituto Federal de Alagoas (Ifal).
Jaime Alves – professor do Instituto Federal do Amazonas (IFAM) há mais de20 anos, Jaime Cavalcante Alves é egresso da antiga Escola Agrotécnica do Amazonas. É mestre em Educação Agrícola e graduado em licenciatura plena em Ciências Agrícolas pela Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro.
Rafael Almada – doutor em Engenharia Química pelo Instituto Alberto Luiz Coimbra de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa de Engenharia da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (Coppe/UFRJ) e mestre em Engenharia Química pela Coppe/UFRJ (2008). É formado emtécnico em Química (2001), graduado em Química Industrial pela Universidade Federal Fluminense (2005), tem licenciatura em Química (2009).
Júlio Heck – pós-doutor em Biotecnologia, doutor Biologia Celular e Molecular, mestre Microbiologia Agrícola e do Ambiente, e graduado em Química Industrial de Alimentos. Ingressou na Rede Federal em 2007 pela Escola Técnica da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS).
