Procon-JP apreende em supermercado mais de duas toneladas de farinha de trigo com validade vencida
O Procon-JP apreendeu, no final da tarde desta sexta-feira (23), 2.150 quilos de farinha de trigo com a data de validade vencida em um supermercado da Capital instalado no bairro do Valentina. Além da farinha de trigo, foram confiscados, ainda, 15 pacotes de fermento, pães, bolos e biscoitos que estavam em processo de fabricação, além dos que já estavam expostos nas prateleiras do estabelecimento e que tinham sido feitos com o produto impróprio para o consumo.
De acordo com o secretário-executivo de Proteção e Defesa do Consumidor de João Pessoa, Júnior Pires, a fiscalização ao supermercado foi fruto de denúncia de um consumidor. “Seguimos a reclamação do cidadão e constatamos que existia, de fato, esse monte de produtos fora da validade. Após a apreensão e com o auto de infração lavrado, foi feito descarte imediato de todos os itens confiscados, com a ajuda da Emlur”, explicou.
Júnior Pires pontua que o supermercado autuado sofrerá o rigor da lei e as penalidades serão aplicadas conforme o grau da infração e podem ir de multas até a suspensão temporária do serviço. “O estabelecimento terá o prazo legal para a defesa, que é 10 dias, como prevê a legislação”.
Mais apreensões – Fiscalização conjunta do Procon-JP com a Vigilância Sanitária Municipal apreendeu dezenas de produtos, além de autuar seis supermercados na última quarta-feira (21). Em janeiro, a fiscalização do Procon-JP já tinha apreendido mais de 6 quilos de carne de sol e de charque, embalagens de empanado, queijos de vários tipos, pizzas e potes de pasta de amendoin com a data de validade vencida. Dois locais foram autuados.
No mês de fevereiro foram apreendidas embalagens de carne de charque, pizza, salada, queijo coalho, bolo de coco Nevado, bolo caçarola, bolo de coco, bolo inglês, bolo de limão Nevado, bandeja de linguiça, pacotes de queijo vermelho e mix de petiscos de amendoin.
