Defesa Civil começa serviço de limpeza e desassoreamento em novos trechos do Rio Jaguaribe
A Coordenadoria Municipal de Proteção e Defesa Civil (Compdec-JP) segue com o cronograma de limpeza e desassoreamento dos rios da Capital, incluindo trechos do Rio Jaguaribe que há muito tempo não passavam por intervenção devido à dificuldade de acesso. As máquinas estão no trecho da BR-230, após a comunidade Padre Hildon, no Bairro São José, e em Cruz das Armas, no trecho dentro do 15° Batalhão de Infantaria Motorizado (15BIMtz).
Segundo o chefe da Divisão de Prevenção de Emergências e Desastres, Philipe Aires, a Defesa Civil vem se preparando para o inverno executando ações preventivas em pontos fundamentais, inclusive em locais de difícil acesso, que não têm população ao seu redor, mas que também necessitam de cuidado para evitar transtornos aos moradores das comunidades Buraco da Gia, Baleado, Jardim Bom Samaritano, Jardim Guaíba, Boa Esperança/ Pedra Branca.
“Nós fazemos o estudo in loco, calçando a bota e percorrendo o trecho a pé e vendo as situações de risco e o que estava gerando essas situações. Assim conseguimos encontrar pontos de acesso para a máquina e efetivar a limpeza em trechos que vão surtir efeito para os moradores dessas áreas, a exemplo do trecho após a comunidade Padre Hildon e São Rafael, que além do difícil acesso, é um terreno alagadiço”, explicou.
O chefe da Divisão de Emergência e Desastre disse ainda que o trecho do Rio Jaguaribe entre a Comunidade Padre Hildon e a Tito Silva está bastante assoreado, com muita vegetação impedindo o fluxo das águas. “O desassoreamento vai dar maior fluidez ao rio para que na época chuvosa as comunidades não sofram com os transtornos comuns no inverno. Estamos nos antecipando para evitar esses problemas”, reforçou.
O outro trecho do Rio Jagauribe que recebe o serviço de limpeza e desassoreamento fica dentro do quartel do 15BIMtz, em Cruz das Armas. A ação é uma parceria firmada com o Exército Brasileiro para que a máquina da Defesa Civil possa operar na área e retirar o material sólido acumulado no rio.
Trabalho executado – Durante o ano passado foram limpos e desassoreados 13.358,81 metros de rios em 4.368,58 horas de trabalho, removendo e destinando ao aterro sanitário do Município 873,65 toneladas de lixo, vegetação e resíduos sólidos do Jaguaribe, Cuiá, Cabelo, trecho ‘Rio Morto’ do Jaguaribe, Mandacaru, Timbó e Gramame, beneficiando diversas comunidades.
