Agência Minas Gerais | Lançamento do projeto de sinalização da Rota Imperial marca passagem da Secult por Ponte Nova
Dando sequência aos compromissos no interior do estado, como parte das ações estratégicas para estimular o turismo como gerador de desenvolvimento socioeconômico nas mais diversas regiões de Minas Gerais, a Secretaria de Estado de Cultura e Turismo participou, nesta sexta-feira (12), em Ponte Nova, na Zona da Mata, do descerramento da placa de lançamento do projeto de sinalização da Rota Imperial, braço da Estrada Real localizado na região. A partir de agora, uma placa na Praça de Palmeiras marca o início de uma série de realizações cujo objetivo é reafirmar a importância da rota para os municípios atravessados por ela.
A história da Rota Imperial remonta a 1814, quando D. João VI ordenou a construção de um caminho – concluído em agosto de 1816 – que ligasse Vitória (ES) a Minas Gerais, a fim de evitar que o ouro extraído em Minas circulasse por outras rotas. Atualmente, o percurso cruza 14 municípios capixabas e 16 cidades mineiras, além de Ponte Nova: Abre Campo, Acaiaca, Alto Caparaó, Alto Jequitibá, Barra Longa, Jequeri, Luisburgo, Manhumirim, Mariana, Martins Soares, Matipó, Oratórios, Ouro Preto, Pedra Bonita, Santa Margarida e São João do Manhuaçu.
Após a cerimônia de descerramento da placa de sinalização da Rota Imperial em Ponte Nova, o secretário de Estado de Cultura e Turismo de Minas Gerais, Leônidas de Oliveira, ressaltou a relevância da iniciativa “para conhecer Minas Gerais cada vez mais e de forma mais profunda”.
“Isso é muito importante porque, ao inaugurarmos a sinalização turística, nós colocamos também as pessoas para refletirem cada vez mais sobre a história que temos. Preservar a história, cuidar da nossa cultura e do nosso turismo como geradores de emprego e renda significa um sinal forte para o desenvolvimento sustentável. A cultura une pessoas, o turismo une pessoas e conhecer a nossa história, quem nós somos, é fundamental para a coisa mais importante da vida, que é a felicidade”, completou Leônidas de Oliveira.
Em janeiro de 2008, o Instituto Estrada Real, juntamente com a Federação das Indústrias de Minas Gerais (Fiemg), a Federação das Indústrias do Espírito Santo (Findes), o Sebrae e as secretarias de turismo dos dois estados começaram os trabalhos para reencontrar a Rota Imperial. Após pesquisas e consultas de documentos e mapas históricos no Arquivo Nacional do Rio de Janeiro, no Arquivo da Marinha, na Biblioteca Nacional, no Arquivo Público do Espírito Santo e no Arquivo Público Mineiro, a localização física da rota foi concluída.
A sinalização do trecho mineiro da Rota Imperial e as ações nos territórios serão coordenadas pelas Instâncias de Governança Regionais (IGR’s) Montanhas e Fé e Pico da Bandeira.
Em Ponte Nova, a Secult também se reuniu com prefeitos e secretários municipais da região no 1º Encontro de Gestores de Cultura e Turismo do Circuito Turístico Montanhas e Fé com Secult-MG, realizado no CEU das Artes. “Estamos vivendo um momento muito bonito na cultura e no turismo como dois dos principais geradores de emprego no estado. Se transformarmos as IGRs também em instâncias de governança do turismo e da cultura, vamos ter o grande passo que precisamos para Minas Gerais ser ainda maior e mais potente. Podem contar comigo”, ressaltou Leônidas de Oliveira.
A passagem da Secult pela Zona da Mata mineira terminou em Guaraciaba. Na cidade, Oliveira visitou a fábrica da Cachaça Guaraciaba. Um dos sinônimos da mineiridade, a bebida tem em sua produção um dos aspectos que impulsionam o turismo de experiência e gastronômico nas diversas regiões do estado. Ao lado do café, do queijo e do doce, entre outras riquezas da cozinha mineira, a cachaça mostra Minas Gerais para o mundo em feiras e encontros de negócios.
